Gazprom’s IFRS net profit falls 35% to 408 bln rbl in Jan–Jun

MOSCOW, Aug 30 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian gas giant Gazprom fell about 35% on the year to 408.054 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement late on Tuesday.

The net profit attributable to shareholders fell about 37% on the year to 381.346 billion rubles in the period.

Sales revenue rose 4.75% to 3.21 trillion rubles, and the sales profit rose 17.2% to 484.3 trillion rubles. The finance income plummeted about 66% to 236 billion rubles.

Net debt increased 19% in the period to 2.29 trillion rubles as of June 30. Operating expenses rose 0.9% to 2.705 trillion rubles. The corporate profit tax fell 17.2% to 128.7 billion rubles.

Short-term liabilities of Gazprom rose 0.2% in the period to 1.925 trillion rubles as of June 30. Long-term liabilities increased 6% to 3.769 trillion rubles.
